Simon Cowell has become the first celebrity to fall "victim" to the new This Is Your Life surprise.


Simon was ambushed live on American Idol last night, just hours after it was revealed that the hit show with the famous red book is coming back to our screens.


Sir Trevor McDonald jetted all the way to LA to present Cowell with the book, which chronicles his whole life.

The pair were let loose in the Caribbean waters on jet skis. Simon shared his jet ski with girlfriend Teri Seymour, while Love Island presenter Patrick rode with, what is commonly called (when no one knows the persons name), a mystery blonde!

For one night only the tables were turned on the X-Factor's judges as they risked ridicule themselves by wearing tutus to join the cast of Billy Elliot at a charity gala performance.





Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh joined Sir Elton John, the show's composer, and Liam Mower, one of the most popular young actors to play Billy, to mark the sale of the millionth ticket.


Cowell, Osbourne and Walsh played examiners at the Royal Ballet School during a short scene last night at Victoria Palace Theatre.


Sir Elton said

"It was one of the funniest things I've ever seen when they made their appearance. But they were brilliant. Should they ever want to go back on stage again, they've got it made. Being in a tutu is a whole new career for Simon Cowell."

Cowell was his usual self on the subject of his stage debut

"There's already a rumour going around that we're up for a Tony Award. It was easy, but then we only had a couple of lines and we were not dancing with boxing gloves."

After the trio put on their tutus for an encore, Cowell joked "Louis Walsh brought his own."


The night raised £25,000 for The Place 2Be, which provides emotional and therapeutic support for vulnerable children. It is donating the money to schools in Easington, in the North-East, where the musical is set.

Simon Cowell shows he's all bark and no bite when he was brought in to judge the RSPCA's Dog Of The Year show in Brighton.


Rather than bawling out contestants with scathing comments, the TV personality had a kiss and a cuddle for many of the furry participants. One pooch, Dino the terrier, particularly caught his eye, getting a warm hug in the process.





He was probably afraid that these contestants could actually fight back!!

Sharon Osbourne has kicked off another celeb battle, but this time it was seen live on T.V.


Sharon is a judge on 'Celebrity X Factor' in the UK, and she had the right go at "Kiss-n-tellers" Rebecca Loos and James Hewitt.


The pair had performed Robert Palmer's 'Addicted to Love' - and without a smile Sharon told them it was a good song choice and that they where well suited to each other. She said to James:

You where in the Army? With that performance you should be shot.

The turning to Rebecca she said:

If you get through tonight you should try doing tomorrow night's show with some knickers on. It will help warm up your voice
