Russell Crowe and his wife, Danielle Spencer, have welcomed a baby boy, the actor's rep, Grant Vandenberg, confirms to PEOPLE.


Tennyson Spencer Crowe was born at 7:27 a.m. on Friday in Australia at Sydney's Royal North Shore Hospital, and weighed in at 8 lbs.


"Mother, father and baby are doing extremely well," Vandenberg tells PEOPLE.

Meg Ryan has blamed ex-husband Dennis Quaid for the break up of their ten year marriage and said her affair with Russell Crowe was not the cause of the split. (Yeah right of course not)!

"I should have left Dennis sooner. Our marriage was unhealthy. It just couldn't sustain,"

she said on the Oprah Winfrey Show.


She branded Quaid a "phony" and said she blames him "100 per cent" for the break-up.


Soooo she's not bitter in the slightest then???

Oscar winners Russell Crowe and Nicole Kidman have signed up for an Australian historical epic to be directed by Baz Luhrmann, Luhrmann's publicist said on Thursday.


Publicist Maria Farmer confirmed media reports that the new movie, to be filmed in Australia's harsh but beautiful outback, would begin production in August.


Luhrnmann described the movie as a sweeping romance in the same vein as "Gone With the Wind" and on the scale of David Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia."

"We have some of the most extraordinary landscape on the planet and we want to get two of the most extraordinary actors in the world and put them ... in that landscape,"

Luhrmann told The Australian newspaper.



He said the film would be set in Australia from the mid-1930s leading up to the Japanese bombing of the tropical northern city of Darwin in World War Two.
