Penelope Cruz had a panic attack onboard a Continental flight from Newark to Barcelona Thursday night.


Cruz, who appeared to be traveling alone, was in first class and became agitated after the plane left the gate. After she spoke with the cockpit, the plane returned to the gate and Cruz deplaned.


A fellow passenger told Huffington Post,

"She was freaking out and refused to fly."

In the process of Cruz deplaning, the flight removed all the bags, which then sat in the rain, so that the airline could locate her luggage.

Tom Cruise's ex-girlfriend, Penelope Cruz, is the latest celeb to say she's seen Suri Cruise.


The actress told reporters on Thursday at the London premiere of her new film, Volver:

I met Suri. She is really beautiful. She is really special. One of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen. And I am extremely happy for them. They are really happy and doing great."

Penelope Cruz carries a real cute puppy on her way to a visit the vet in Beverly Hills.

Matthew McConaughey and Penelope Cruz have decided to spend time apart, PEOPLE are reporting.


According to a joint statement from the couple to PEOPLE, they:

"Have decided to take time off as a couple. Due to busy work schedules and so much time apart, they mutually decided four weeks ago that separating was the best thing to do at this time. They're very good friends, but they haven't been able to be together.
