George Clooney wants to keep us guessing

Alex

George Clooney wants to be seen with as many different people as possible to throw gossips off the scent of his real lover, and has lined up a hit list of Hollywood beauties, and one heartthrob, who he would like to be seen with.

He revealed in an interview with Vanity Fair magazine

"I want to spend every single night for three months going out with a different famous actress. You know, Halle Berry one night, Salma Hayek the next, and then walk on the beach holding hands with Leonardo DiCaprio.

People would still buy the magazines, they'd still buy the pictures, but
they would always go, 'I don't know if these guys were putting us on or not.'"

Daryl Hannah arrested

Alex
14th June 2006

Daryl Hannah was arrested along with 16 other protestors in Los Angeles's South Central Urban Garden on Tuesday and tells PEOPLE by phone from her jail cell, "I'm not thrilled about it, but I felt it was important to sustain my commitment."

The actress and about 25 immigrant farmers and their supporters were campaigning to save the 14-acre fruit and vegetable garden from planned demolition.

Hannah says:

"I spent the last 23 days down at the South Central farm, which is the largest urban farm in the nation and provides food for hundreds of families. The subsistence farmers are from one of the poorest communities. This farm should be a model for sustainable urban agriculture. It needs to be replicated, not eradicated."

For the past three weeks, Hannah and protest organizer John Quigley had been sitting 40 feet above the ground in a large walnut tree. Folk singer, Joan Baez and anti-logging activist Julia "Butterfly" Hill had also taken shifts in the tree, although neither was present when the arrests were made. Leonardo DiCaprio and Willie Nelson had also stopped by the garden in the past weeks to show their support.

Becks' Obsessive Disorder

Alex
03rd April 2006

David Beckham might seem like he has a charmed life but the footballer has revealed he is controlled by personal problems. Becks has spent many years battling Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, a mental condition which forces its suffers to perform strange rituals.

Becks has said:

I have got this disorder where I have to have everything in a straight line or everything has to be in pairs. I'll put my Pepsi cans in the fridge and if there's one too many then I'll put it in another cupboard somewhere. I'll go into a hotel room and before I can relax I have to move all the leaflets and all the books and put them in a drawer.

Speaking in a TV interview, David also admitted to regularly spending hours straightening the furniture at his Madrid home. In order to satisfy his anxieties, he wears a new pair of football boots for every match and buys exactly 20 packets of Super Noodles every time he goes to a supermarket.

Victoria has been witness to her husband's troubles. "Everything has to match in the house," she disclosed recently.

When asked if he had tried to overcome the illness Becks said: "I would like to. I have tried to and I can't stop." The 30-year-old went on to say that he kept the condition a secret from his Real Madrid teammates after players at his previous club, Manchester United, played jokes on him by barging into his hotel room when they played away games.

"I thought they were just coming in for a chat, but then they'd go out and I'm thinking 'something's different here'. And then all the magazines would be all wonky. They'd have been in my wardrobe and all my trousers and my shoes would be all over the place."

David is not the first major star to be afflicted with OCD, which is listed by the World Health Organisation as one of the ten most debilitating illnesses in existence. Other sufferers include Billy Bob Thornton and Alec Baldwin, along with historical figures like Florence Nightingale and Charles Darwin.
Perhaps the most well-known celebrity to have battled the condition was billionaire Howard Hughes, who was famously portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio in 'The Aviator'.
