Hugh Grant has been arrested after allegedly hurling a tub of baked beans at a photographer.





He also reportedly kicked Ian Whittaker, and, according to the photographer, said he wished his children would die of cancer. Grant's lawyers, however, have refuted that any such comments were made by the actor.





The arrest followed a clash with the freelance paparazzi photographer outside Grant’s Chelsea home on Tuesday morning. Mr Whittaker said he had turned up to take pictures of the actor’s former girlfriend Liz Hurley, who lives in the same street. When Grant arrived in his car he asked him to smile as he took his picture.


Hugh allegedly snapped, swearing at Mr Whittaker and reportedly kicking him three or four times. Then, as Grant entered his house, he allegedly turned and threw a plastic container of baked beans at him.


Why was he walking around with a container of beans ????

Could it be true? Is Britain's most well known batchelor .... well, engaged??? Hugh Grant is keeping it very quiet when it comes to whether he’s now engaged to girlfriend of two years Jemima Khan.


In a story published Monday in Britain’s 'Daily Mail', columnist Richard Kay reported that Grant got down on one knee on a trip to Barbados six months ago.


"It's one of the best-kept secrets of the celebrity world," he wrote. The couple’s reps refuse any comment, and friends and family maintain they either don't know or won’t say.


In the last month, Grant and Khan have been spotted everywhere from Venice to New York City, where a ringless Khan shopped on June 5.


Their chemistry isn’t just physical, either, says her friend:

"He’s very clever, and she really is funny, witty and quick. They spark off each other perfectly."

So until Jemima turns up with a ring on her finger we will just have to wait and see

The couple, who have been dating for two years, have reportedly had a string of blazing rows about the British actor's commitment issues.


Socialite Jemima has reportedly called Hugh and sobbed:

"I can't go on living like this."

A source told the News of the World newspaper:

"It's very sad. They are apart and this really looks as if it could be the end. Jemima's had enough of Hugh not committing. She can only put up with so much. They've been having huge rows and High doesn't have a clue that he's pushing her away. This has been a long-running problem."

I would have thought that Jemima would have known that Hugh's not big on committment, I mean how long was he with Liz Hurley??

Retail tycoon Philip Green paid £60,000 for a kiss from Kate Moss at a charity auction, but gave the kiss away and the supermodel embraced Hugh Grant's girlfriend Jemima Khan instead.


It is unknown why Mr. Green, who made the winning bid at the charity auction, declined the kiss at the last minute. It is believed he offered the kiss to the person he outbid, Hugh Grant's girlfriend Jemima Khan, because he was there with his wife, Tina.
Probably a smart move on his part then, he he he he.


However, rather than a quick peck on the lips, the two women enjoyed a passionate embrace, to the surprise of fellow guests.


One told London's Evening Standard:

"We thought it was going to be a kiss on the cheek. It lasted just over 60 seconds. A few people were shocked but everyone was laughing after."

The auction and dinner was in aid of the Hoping Foundation for Palestinian Refugee Children.
