At a music industry party this week Whitney Houston seemed to be happy about what will be her first album in three years.
The singer looked in good shape for a comeback. Six songs have been lined up for her to record and music bosses are confident the material will go down a treat with fans despite her recent well-publicised troubles.
Whitney was accompanied by Clive Davis, the producer who has masterminded her career since the early days. He was quick to reassure fans the new disc will stay true to her famous style rather than focus on a flashy reinvention.
"Whitney is Whitney and there's nobody like her. It'll be Whitney, not somebody reaching for a current trend, that's for sure."
