Well did Nicole Richie pass out while partying with friends over the weekend or not?


The star's publicist denies reports circulating on the Internet that she collapsed while out over the weekend. According to TMZ.com, patrons inside the popular Hollywood hot spot Hyde Lounge say that around 2 a.m. Sunday morning, Nicole suddenly collapsed and fell to the floor. The site reports that an employee came over and said they were going to call 911, but that her friends said they would take her to a hospital. TMZ said that Nicole reportedly had to be carried out through the back door.


Today, Nicole's rep responded to the reports, and confirmed to "The Insider" that she was at the club, but that she did not pass out.

"She did swing by Hyde for about 20 minutes to drop off a gift for her friend's birthday. She was in costume. She walked in, stayed for a bit and walked out. She did not pass out nor was she carried out, nor did she go to the hospital. This is a truly nasty and false rumor. Thank you for asking for the correct info. There is no written statement."

Last week, a rep for Nicole told "The Insider" that she was seeking help for her weight issue.


The "Simple Life" star has repeatedly denied accusations that she has an eating disorder, despite a significant drop in weight over the past couple of years.


Richie's publicist told "The Insider":

"Nicole Richie has decided to undergo diagnostic treatment to determine why she's not been putting on any weight. She is working with a team of doctors and specialists whose focus is nutrition. It is important to Nicole that she achieves this goal in a healthy way as this is not a treatment for an eating disorder."

Hey perhaps I could be her nutritionist, I never have any problem putting weight on!!
