So the Beckhams are not pregnant and all the stories that where floating around yesterday all came about from David misunderstanding a question in spanish.


Hello Magazine say - Stories of a new addition to the Beckham clan spread like wildfire after a group of fans and reporters approached the footballer as he was leaving his club's training ground. "Is it true that you're going to be a father?", asked one of the press pack, to which David responded "si", meaning yes.


The 31-year-old answered "very well" when asked how he was feeling about the news, and when queried over how his wife Victoria was doing, he said "good, thanks".


A spokesman for the former England skipper has since explained that he didn't clearly understand the questions, however. "They asked him a question which is his mind went something along the lines of 'How are Victoria and the baby?', by which he took to mean their youngest child," revealed a representative. "It was a complete misunderstanding – she is not pregnant." David was again queried about the issue when he picked up his sons from school on Tuesday, but on that occasion he seemed rather more clear. "Victoria is not pregnant," he said. "It is a mistake."
