Ok I know it's not easy being pregnant in the sweltering summer heat - trust me I know! And sometimes, you really don't feel like plastering on layer after layer of make-up just to go and buy a bottle of water or a dozen eggs. Understood.

If fact, lets face it, pregnant women deserve far more leeway than most when it comes to the 'dressing up' department. No question.

But you can't forgive this god-awful outfit that Britney Spears stepped out in when she visited a toy store in Malibu to pick up gifts for her baby son, Sean Preston.

Despite paparazzi snapping her every move, the singer looked happy in her casual attire, which consisted of wedged flipflops and chequered shorts - which could easily be mistaken for pyjama bottoms, and a top streached tight across her bump.
