Tennis watchers got more than they bargained for at Wimbledon, when a streaker stole the limelight from Tennis players Maria Sharapova and Elena Dementieva as he cartwheeled across Centre Court.

Wearing nothing more than black socks, white trainers, a wristband and a smile, Dutchman Sander Lantinga streaked onto court 39 minutes into the Wimbledon quarter-final clash.

After winning herself a place in the semi-finals, Miss Sharapova said laughingly:

"It was real bizarre. I didn’t really look. I didn’t want to look at the details."

It later turned out to be a prank for Dutch TV. Lantinga was cautioned for minor public disorder, police said later.
