So first things first.
You may have noticed that I didn't blog yesterday (what do you mean you didn't? Don't you read me everyday?). The reason was, it's the end of the school year and I had 52 10-year-olds at my house for the end of year party.


It was all going so well: The Chinese Food was delivered and the kids all ate it, fortunately the sun was shining and they could all be outside in the garden using the pool. Unfortunately, the sun was shining and my daughter got a touch of sunstroke (the joys of a pale skinned blonde living in The Bahamas)!!!


Before the sunstroke came out though, we had another party to go to - the swim club's fun swim meet. Green Team v Purple Team: It's great fun, you're all decked out in your team's colours (including hair dye) and really go for it. Then afterwards we have a cook out.

Well my son turned up from his end of year party looking as if he'd had a bit too much sun as well. As coach Andy said:

"if we could harness the power of the heat radiating from him we wouldn't need to heat the pool this year"!!

So anyway Green won (of course WE are green team) and we go home.


Both kids get home, flake out and that's when everything hurts when they touch it and poor old Amber is sick. But they're still happy cos their team won!!!! So by the time they are covered head to toe in Sudacreme (wonderful stuff for sunburn - not just for babies bottoms) there was no time to blog.


Normal service resumes today (even though both kids are off school hiding from the sun in darkened rooms!!!).
