Actress Katie Holmes has decided to change her name ‘Katie’ for the more mature ‘Kate’.

She decided to change her name after talking extensively to fiance Tom Cruise about it. The couple decided that Katie sounded too girlish for a 27-year-old and so decided that Holmes would be known as Kate instead.

Cruise said:

“Katie is a young girl's name. Her name is Kate now she's a child-bearing woman.”

What is he on Child-bearing woman, he sounds like someone from the dark ages, Me man Me work - you Woman go produce, next thing we'll hear is that she's not going to be an actress anymore.
