Here we go again it's American Idol Series 5 and the Final 6 are singing Classic Love Songs tonight.


They are geting Opera Singer Andrea Botticelli in tonight to help them, I can just imagine Kellie with him!! So who do you think is going to win - have you got any ideas? I would love to see Chris win but I think Katharine is the one to beat now.

Well it's another good performance from Katharine. Randy says good choice of song but he thought it was to big for her. Paula says (well her mike is fuzzy so that helps us not have to listen to her wittering) some pitch problems. Simon says by choosing that song she's shown she's not as good as Whitney Houston. bad song choice. Wow shows what I know!!


Elliott Yamin
Singing - song for you by Danny Hathaway

Well it's ok - i'm not that keen on it, he sounds like he lost it a bit at the end. Randy says didn't like the arrangement it overpowered the vocals. Paula says he moves her - why is she in tears?? Simon says in parts it was like a vocal master class.


I think Paula has lost it!!

Singing - Unchained Melody by The Righteous Brothers

I don't like how any of these arrangements are tonight - I dont like it. Randy says there were pitch problems - not the right song. Paula says she dosen't see her raising the bar each week she dosen't feel greatness from her. Simon says it was like a neverending song it was a bit robotic.

I think she is doing Ok - probably one of the best so far tonight - again I don't like the arrangement of the song. Randy says it was pretty good . Paula said she oversang a little bit. Simon says very good vocal but sounded old fashioned.


Taylor "The Silver Fox" Hicks
Singing - Just Once by James Ingram

Well I think Taylor is doing OK (i've just figured out that i'm not a love songs type of girl!!!). Randy says he thought it was the wrong song for him. Paula says not her favourite. Simon says he looked uptight tonight - not a winning performance. Paula again is interupting and talking over Simon - she is so annoying!


What is going on tonight nobody is doing great - it's all set up for Chris to come in and blow us all away ....... lets see how he does

Good song choice for Chris he should be through to next week next week. Randy says amazing. Paula loves him loves him loves him.Simon says good choice of song and great performance.


So the best tonight where Chris Daughtry and (i thought) Katharine McPhee.


The worst where Kellie Pickler and (just cos i didn't like the song) Elliott Yamin. But i'm picking Kellie to go home, even though I like her but for the last few weeks she hasn't been great.
