American Idol Series 5 time again, and tonight it's a Rod Stewart night. I got all excited thinking we would be reliving my youth with songs like Do ya think i'm sexy, Baby Jane and Maggie May instead it's the American Classic's so I suppose there will be a few crooners tonight!!!!


Ryan still has his growth on his face please, please, please get rid of it.


Chris Daughtry is up first

Very different for Chris I hope he can pull it off - well I think he's doing a good job, not in the least bit Rock and Roll, let see what the judges say. Randy says he showed his sensitive side and it was the bomb. Paula says he has proven that he is in it to win it. Simon says he takes some credit for it as he told him he had to change his style and he thought it was a great performance.


Paris Bennett
Singing - These Foolish Things by ?

This is what Paris does best she has an amazing voice it's hard to remember that she's 17. Thing is I still don't really like her. Randy says she should stand proud her greatest night. Paula says she was born to sing that era. Simon says it was stylish and she bewilder's him she talks like Micky Mouse but sings like a grown up.


Taylor "The Silver Fox" Hicks
Singing - You Send Me by Sam Cooke

He's doing a good job he looks very comfortable up on stage. Randy says he was blown away and he put his own stamp on it. Paula says he is in the zone to go the distance. Simon says when it started he thought lame caberet but then MAGIC.


Elliott Yamin
Singing - It had to be you by

He's doing a good job. Randy says good song choice. Paula says waffle waffle waffle. Simon says good vocal however the performance lacked a degree of personality.


Kellie Pickler
Singing - bewitched bothered and bewildered by ?

Well she doing a good job, I thought she would struggle tonight but she's doing ok. Randy says it got a bit pitchy in parts. Paula says loved the begining but she got ahead of the music towards the end. Simon says it was just a boring song, it didn't sound like she picked it for herself. Oh well what do I know!!


Ace Young
Singing - That's All by ?

I don't like this, but then again I think Ace should have gone a long time ago. Randy says started out ok had a problem in the middle but brought it home in the end. Paula says she loved it surprise surprise. Simon says it wasn't bad - a charming performance.


Katharine McPhee
Singing - Someone to watch over me by ?

Katharine at her best (I think) she is very comfortable with these songs. Randy says this is her element he loved it. Paula says tonight she is falling in love with who she is. Simon says she made the others look like good amatures - she is in a different league it was great.


Paula is talking over Simon shut up you silly woman. God they try and shut him up when he says anything they think is bad and now he isn't allowed to finish a sentence saying anything good!!!!!


The best tonight where Katharine McPhee, Chris Daughtry and Paris Bennett.


For me the worst where Ace Young, Kellie Pickler and Elliott Yamin. Of the three I think Ace should go home, but we will have to see if the girlie vote keeps him in again!!!
