Eddie and Nicole Murphy's marriage officially ended Monday.


Attorneys for Murphy had no comment; Nicole Murphy's lawyers could not be reached. Nicole Murphy, a 37-year-old former model, filed for divorce on Aug. 5 in Los Angeles after 12 years of marriage.


Murphy said in a statement issued by his rep, Paul Bloch, after the filing:


"The welfare of our children is our main concern and their best interest is our first priority,"
