John Travolta and Queen Latifah are going to be working together on Hairspray.


The movie is an adaptation of the Broadway musical based on Jon Waters' cult flick about the racial integration of a 1960s Baltimore, Maryland, dance show.


Travolta stars as heavyweight housewife--yes, wife--Edna Turnblad, while Latifah plays Motormouth Maybelle, the dance show's host. Cameras roll in Baltimore and Toronto in September.
