It's the first live results show on American Idol Series 5. Tonight 4 contestants will be going home, 2 girls and 2 guys.


I said in the last AI posts I thought Stevie Scott and Heather Cox would go home for the girls, and Bobby Bennett for the guys - I also said that I didn't like Sways song (but I don't think he will go home tonight) so we will just have to see what happens.



40 million votes came in over the 2 nights.


Randy says likability makes a difference to the public, but once you get in the top 12 it's more about the singing.


Paula says there is more buzz and popularity cos more people are watching the show.


Ryan then has a go about Simons baby blue top and Simon asks Ryan why he is obsessed with what he wears?????


Simon says it is obvious who is going tonight cos they where horrible, and that the American Public are now good music critics. Well we will soon see.


To start the night the whole group are singing "Take it easy" - it sounds good. (but then the music is loud)!!!!


The girls are all sat on the benches looking very nervous.


Brenna says you have to be calm on the surface but all action underneith like a duck!

Paris says she is dreaming about the finals night
Heather says she everyone is nervous at the breakfast table

Becky says she feels the most nervous.


Kinik, Brenna and Becky are not safe - we will find out after the break. Ooops i didn't pick any of them - shows what I know ha ha ha ha.


They are looking for the girl with the lowest votes first - Kinik gets to sit down - Brenna gets to sit down


Becky O'Donohue is going home. Paula says she thinks she has a career ahead of her - Simon agrees and says she should have a great career as a model.


Next up the guys to find out who has the lowest vote.


Elliott says he got a confidence boost from the judges last night but there is room for improvement.
Kevin says the highlight of his life was getting his cheeks pinched by the girls last night. Bless.


Bobby and Sway are not safe - Bobby Bennett is going home - NO that means we have to listen to him sing again!!!!! Hey but I called it right on that one - yeah!!


After the break the girls are back up to see who the next one home is.


Stevie and Heather are not safe - Stevie Scott is going home. Hey I called that one too. 2 out of 3 at the moment for me.


The judges think that she just picked the wrong song.


I do feel sorry for them having to sing again when they have just found out they are going home.


Ok the guys are back up to find out who is going for them.


Bucky and Patrick are not safe - Patrick Hall is going home. Paula is sad to see him go. Randy says he has it going on. Simon says you need to stand out from the crowd and he didn't
