No Jail for Doherty !!!!

Pete Doherty Leaving Court Babyshambles singer, Pete Doherty has, miraculously, avoided jail time after racking up seven separate drug charges, most coming in rapid succession last month!!!

Kate Moss's notorious ex, who pleaded guilty to heroin and cocaine possession in London's Thames Magistrates Court just two weeks ago, was in London's Ealing Court for sentencing early Wednesday.

The 26-year-old was ordered to enter a drug rehabilitation programme and receive monthly check-ups for the next year.

"You must submit to treatment with a view to ending your dependency on drugs," Magistrate Ann McLaughlin told Doherty during sentencing. McLaughlin then asked if the rocker agreed with the ruling, to which Doherty replied, "I do."

The musician will only face jail time should he breach the court order.

How the hell did he avoid that - I wonder if the same sentence would have been given for anyone else who wasn't in a rock band?????
