It's Hollywood week on American Idol series 5 - yipee. It's time to see who is going to cope with the pressure and to see if we can spot the next American Idol. So here we go............


175 start the auditions - by the end of the week only 12 guys and 12 girls will be left for you all to vote on.


day one
They have to perform one song from a list of 12, and decide what key they sing in.


There are lots of nerves on show,


Kellie Pickler is up and is singing Hoplessly Devoted - Simon says the timing was all over the place but he will put it down to nerves. They have to wait untill 8 people have sang to get the judgment whether they will stay or not. At the judgment Kellie is through to the next round.


Patrick Hall is next singing (Dont know the song) - Paula likes him - Randy says not a star factor, but he likes his voice. At the judgement he is through to the next round.


Ronnie Norman and Steven David are up -now I remember I didn't like Ronnie Norman (he thought he was gods gift to women), and Steven was a flirt too - Ronnie is singing Lady is a Tramp and Steven is as well. Simon says not a stand out vocal. At judgement time they are both out and they are not happy about it, they can't believe it. For once Ronnie has nothing to say.


Lisa Tucker next singing Hoplessly Devoted, again, the judges say she is through to the next round.


Matthew Buckstein is in his cowboy hat and singing Hoplessly Devoted as well!! He is through though!


Ashley Guadamuz is really bad, Kymata Kelty is bad as well, Linella Kagawa is bad as well- they are all out. (Those names may be wrong by the way sorry!!!)


Paris Bennet is really good, she could be one to watch. Of course she is through no question.


Taylor Hicks is up he has a nice voice, but he dosen't look like a pop star. Simon says interesting and Paula is a fan. He is through to the next round.


41 are though from the first half of the contestants - day two will see how the second half do.


Day two


Melissa Lucas is up I didn't really like it - Megan Zeiger has a voice problem (laryngitas) she is wavering a bit, but they are putting her through to the next round.


Now everyone is using that excuse as well as others, like the keyboard is too quick!!!


The Brittnum twins are up even though in real life they are not through due to prison time !!!


Gina Glockson, David Radford, Brett 'Ace' Young all sing if I ever fall in love again as well as Kevin Covaise - they are all through.


Joshua Simmons is up - Simon says he wouldn't remember it in 30 mins time his brother Jarrett Simmons sings - Simon says the song was too big for him. The twins are not through. They look stunned.


Cowboy Garrett Johnson is up, he looks really lost. They say he's through and he is sooooo happy.


The Brittnum twins are giving their views on the show, saying that people without talent are going through and its not right - well at least those people don't have a criminal record hey boys!!!


Chris Daughtry is through - Mandisa Hundley is through - Katharine McPhee is good and one to watch - she is through.


Dave Hoover (the crazy one) is up - the judges dont know what is going to happen, they have got to send this kid home and they do!!


99 remain to go on to do the group song next week.
