We have finally come to the last American Idol Series 5 auditions before Hollywood - YEAH!


So Boston have you saved the best till last???? We will soon see......


James Yokley Jr is first up. He is singing patriotic hip hop - ok Simon is fed up already and he stops him, Randy doesn't know, Paula appreciates the content. Simon wants 10 secs of his singing voice - it's bad, he's out.


Ok her father's a senator and her mothers a TV presenter, she is 17 year old Ayla Brown(oh and she is also a scholarship basketball student!!!!) and she can sing! (I think) But what do the judges think - Randy says she has a good voice but he was not blown away, Paula says she just belted it out, Simon says it's all a bit empty. Simon says 'No', Randy says 'Yes', it's down to Paula and she says 'Yes'. She is going to Hollywood.


Irada Jafarova is next - Oh someone stop her please it's really, really bad. Simon looks gobsmacked, Randy can't stop laughing. This is getting wierd I dont think I can watch any more!!! Simon says everything was horrific - she is not a very happy lady.


Some really bad singers next - why do they come to audition?


Katherine Hoffman is up and even Paula looks stunned. Simon says it was a complete and utter mess.


Simon is going off on one, he's had enough of all the crap and is battering the contestants down left and right - and the contestants are not happy!!


Rebecca O'Donahue next, Simon says she looks very commerical - Paula says the singing is not as good as she looks - Randy says he would give her another chance - Simon says 'No'. Paula is going to give her another chance so she is through to Hollywood. (Why does Paula says the voice is not good then send them through? Is it just to do the opposite of what Simon says??)


Tatiana Ward next. I don't know about her. Simon says he's not being rude BUT she reminds him of a pet poodle, Randy says 'Yes', Simon says 'No' and Paula says 'Yes'. She's going to Hollywood.


Lots of ladies are getting through - where are the men???


Holly Corrente next and I think she's OK but there is no power there - Randy says 'No, Paula says 'No' and Simon says 'No'. She is not going through.


Kenneth Maccarone is next singing Cher: WHY, WHY, WHY, WHY? The judges have cracked up and they can't stop laughing. Simon says he should be a female impersonator 'cos he sings like Cher and he can sing like Judy Garland. He is arguing with Simon and says he is leaving with his dignity - NOT (he should watch his audition back and see what dignity he has got).


Kevin Covais next. Don't know what he's singing but he looks about 12. Simon says he's a jolly nice young man and that people ove 80 will like him. Paula disagrees (surprise, surprise), she says 'Yes', Randy is a 'Yes' and Simon says 'No', but he's going through.


A Clay Aitkin look-a-like is next - God he's annoying - Michael Sandecki is up and I think he's bad. Simon is smirking and says at least Clay could sing. Paula says 'No'. He says he really can sing but he's nervous as hell and he has to go pee - they say go pee and come back!! Nope he's still bad and he's out.


28 people are through to Hollywood.


The auditions are over finally and the judges have chosen 175 to go to Hollywood.
