Character actor Chris Penn, the younger brother of Sean Penn, was found dead in an apartment in Santa Monica on Tuesday.


"No cause of death was immediatly identified, but it doesn't look like foul play was involved", a source said. The family confirmed the death and said that "They would appreciate the media's respect for their privacy at this dificult time".


Chris had appeared in dozens of films including Reservoir Dogs, Starsky and Hutch and Mullholland Falls.
