Pete Doherty's lawyer said the Police where targeting the Babyshambles lead singer, just because he is famous.

Defence Lawyer Sean Curren was at the Thames Magistrates Court on Friday, where Doherty is charged with pocession of Crack cocaine, Heroin, Morphine and Marijuana.

Curren says 'The position is this, the police kept him in custody simply because he's Peter Doherty'. He also thinks that Doherty has more chance of going to prison because he is famous.

Nothing to do with the fact that he was caught with Crack Cocaine, Heroin, Morphine and Marijuana then? Or that it was the second time within two weeks that he'd been charged with similar offences? Or does Doherty think that just because he is famous he can do as he likes?
